Haz-Matters, Inc. began providing employee safety training and services in 1994. Haz-Matters has branched out to provide comprehensive Safety and Health services to employees. We offer pre-hiring techniques, customized employee training, documented program elements, and compliance assessments.

Haz-Matters of Wyoming is able to help you provide a workplace free from recognized hazards. Clients are able to choose from a variety of services to create a customized Safety and Health program. Whether you have 10 or 1000 employees, Haz-Matters of Wyoming will be there to help you.

Hazard Communication Program

If your employees are, or may be, exposed to hazardous chemicals in their workplaces, you must develop a written hazard communication program.  This program must be implemented and maintained at every facility where your employees work.  Even if the hazard is generated by another employer at the same work location, and not by you, the written program requirement applies. This Haz-Com program provides the employees the information they need to protect themselves as required by OSHA. This program must:

1) provide an up-to-date list of hazardous materials at your job site,
                             2) furnish a MSDS for each hazardous material in your workplace,
                             3) spell out how your employer complies with labeling requirements for hazardous chemicals, MSDS requirements, and employee training requirements,
                             4) document how to let employees know about the hazards of non-routine tasks, and the hazards associated with chemicals in unlabeled pipes in the work area,
                             5) explain how to inform contract employees of hazards they may be exposed to at their workplace.

This written program includes procedures you use to meet labeling, training and information, and MSDS requirements.  It is the first place an OSHA inspector will look, to see if you have addressed all required aspects of hazcom standard.

SOUND LIKE A LOT-- Haz-Matters can assist you in meeting these requirements and implementing them into your company programs. We can write the program specific to your company include all the requirements of OSHA, assist in gathering and organizing MSDSs and container labeling, and provide and meet the employee training requirements.
